I WelCome In him or her to God’s Family of Love. I WelCome In my doggie friend in the picture who clearly has been abandoned, if not also has been abused. We must add them to this list because they are also part of God’s Family of Love.

We must add God’s nonhuman animals to this list of the orphans and the widows of this Bible verse, because so many of them have been and are (BOTH) abandoned and abused. I replied: “I would like to add abused and abandoned animals of God to that list of widows and orphans, if I may? In fact, animals abused and abandoned makes them widows and orphans.” Hence, how this God Sonnet was born. On a more personal note, a friend this morning sent me this Bible verse: “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world” (James 1:27). All adults and all kiddos (BOTH), WelCome In to God’s Family of Love as the orphans and the widows (BOTH). For the abandoned and abused (BOTH), the One who we are WelCome In from outskirts and the hurt we’ve been (BOTH). Jesus is the ONLY One who won’t roam but will reside (BOTH), who is Grace but won’t unveil (BOTH). Thank You that we have found a loving home and place, a loving bride and male, who is the One who is Your Son and our Savior and Deliverer, Jesus Christ. May each one find the security for which they yearn, and the opportunity to learn about the Lord Jesus and His love for each of them.Father God, thank You that we are WelCome In to Your Family of Love as the orphans and the widows (BOTH). Into Your hands Lord, I place all children and young people who are alone in the world. And heal the hearts of those that have been damaged by the experience of finding themselves alone in the world.

Provide the funds and food, the people and the amenities, the education and the equipment needed to keep the orphanages and ministries functioning. I pray for any outreach missions that actively seek to rescue those who have been abandoned to a life when they have to fend for themselves and are facing severe hardships. Raise up orphanages and ministries that will actively seek out and help those that are alone in the world. Lord Jesus, there are so many millions of children that have been orphaned or abandoned around the world, and we grieve for them in a world that seems to have lost its ability to care for the weak and help the defenceless.
